It was a beautiful day of 25th October with cool breeze blowing,  when I took bus to Dehradun for SSB interview from Kashmere Gate, New Delhi for which I was called after clearing AFCAT exam.

Bus had air conditioning and good wifi. We also had tea at local dhabha on the way at around 2AM. I deboarded at Dehradun bus stand at 5 AM from where Air Force’s bus picked us and took us to Air Force Station,Dehradun.

As I was screened in, now, it was the mean time of the stay, from 3 to 7 each day during which major fun began as we were allowed to explore nearby places

On Second day, I went to buddha monastery with new friends. Monastery was very calm place and had very peaceful environment with large stupas and idols of Lord Buddha. We also ate Momos in the tibetan colony which were very mouthwatering.

Next day we went to FRI- Forest Research Institute of INDIA. Really, campus was the best among many colleges which I had visit my entire student life. There were large dense forests and very beautiful hiatoric trees all around the campus. Inside the main building which was designed by Britishers, there were number of museums which were all about forests. It was very refreshing experience for me and I had a great time there.

Overall in the SSB, it was great fun and opportunity to explore new places at Dehradun which I didn’t miss. Finally, I was conference out and reached back to Delhi by bus after staying for 5 days in Dehradun. This travel experience is worth to cherish for lifetime.
