"Probably the best place to get insights into the life of the mahatma, one who is looked upon with such reverence like no other in the history of India. The simplicity of his life and that of his followers, that becomes apparent as soon as you set your eyes on the Ashram, is a message in itself. A truly serene place on the banks of the river Sabarmati. If the Ashram authorities could arrange for services like Cloak room and cafeteria for visitors, it would be great. "

"Takes back to the times of Mahatma Gandhi. The rare photos of independence Movement and from the early times of Mahatma Gandhi makes it a unique window in to history. Places Mahatma Gandhi stayed and many of his personal article are well preserved. Just beyond, the newly developed Sabarmati River Front provides great backdrop to the Ashram. A must visit when you are in Ahmadabad."
