Gopalswami Hills

#Hill in Bandipur

Himavad Gopalaswamy Betta, commonly known as Gopalaswamy Hills is located in the middle of the Bandipur forest. It is the highest pinnacle of Bandipur and is filled with wildlife. The pinnacle is always fogged which explains the word Himavad. There is a temple of Shri Venugopalaswamy and Betta in Kannada translates to hills. Hence, the name.

If you're visiting Bangalore, this is a place you should definitely head to. The lush green flora surrounding the place is a treat for the eyes. It is about 2800 ft above sea level and the altitude helps the weather maintain its coolness and tranquility. The view from above is breathtaking; the animals and the plants seem like posing for the paparazzi. Visit the place armed with camera and binoculars. If you're looking for a place to escape from the concrete jungle's hubbub, this is the place where you should go.
