Dhankar Lake at an altitude of 4140 meters lies above Dhankar village and acts a source of water for the village.

It is around 4-5 kms steep hike from New Dhankar Monastery, it will take you around 45 mins to reach the lake and it is completely worth it. You get an amazing view of Manerang peak- the highest peak in Himachal- from Dhankar. It is not allowed to camp next to the lake. This lake also acts as the starting or ending point of Spiti Left Bank Trek.
