This museum was constructed by NK Sharma recently in 1984, but at present, it is one of the great attractions in Jaisalmer. This museum is situated at the untouched banks of Gadisar Lake in Jaisalmer. The aim of the museum is to provide knowledge to all generation about Jaisalmer through its artifacts displayed in the museum.

Jaisalmer Folklore museum is divided into 6 sections. Each section of the museum displays the remnants of different category like paintings, hairstyles, jewellery, outfits and also photograph. Other than this there are many other artifacts which relate to Jaisalmer. Jaisalmer Folklore museum is open all days of the week between 8 am to 6 pm.

To the right of Chandraprabhu temple is the tranquil Rishabhdev temple with pillars beautifully sculpted with apsaras and gods. There are various minute details which are worthy of appreciation like there are two Elephants made of yellow stone it is put in front of the gate so that it appears as if they are guarding the Haveli.                             The Desert National Park is protected sanctuary. The park is considered not only the largest in the state of Rajasthan but also largest in India. The place is close to Bharatpur and attracts large migratory birds. The park is formed by sand dunes, rocky surfaces, and salt lake bottoms. The Great Indian Bustard can be found in great numbers. It is home to indigenous wildlife and avifauna species, the park represents a unique ecosystem. Chinkara, Indian Fox, Hare and Desert Cat are some of the most commonly found animals in this park. The main part of the park is in a landscape which consists of lake bed of extinct salt lakes and thorny scrubs and it is the wonder to see how these living organisms live under this harsh condition. The aim of the museum is to provide knowledge to all generation about Jaisalmer through its artifacts displayed in the museum. Jaisalmer Folklore museum is divided into 6 sections. Each section of the museum displays the remnants of different category like paintings, hairstyles, jewellery, outfits and also photograph. Other than this there are many other artifacts which relate to Jaisalmer. Jaisalmer Folklore museum is open all days of the week between 8 am to 6 pm.

The Haveli has the other name also called as Jahaz Mahal because of the front of the Haveli resembling ship stern. If you want to discover the beautiful art and sculpture visit this place. Once you are in Jaisalmer you need to visit this beautiful and monumental structure.

So if you have watched movie ‘Border’ you must have come across the scene of the temple Tanot Mata Temple or Mateshwari Tanot Rai Mandir. The sanctuary is found near India- Pakistan border and visitors are not permitted to go past this temple. Tanot Mata temple remains untouched by overwhelming shelling by Pakistan in Indo-Pak war of 1971. The temple is located at 150km from Jaisalmer City. According to Charan writing, Tanot Mata is the new clone of awesome goddess Hinglaj Mata after that Tanot Mata progressed and has become Karni Mata. Tanot Mata is accepted as the incarnation of Goddess Hinglaj which is situated in Lasvela region of Baluchistan. And one of the interesting parts of the temple is that the bombs which were shed by Pakistan in the war did not harm the temple at all because of the Goddess Tanot divine power and now you can find these unexploded bombs in Tanot Mata temple museum.
