Surkanda Devi is a Hindu temple in Kanatal which is dedicated to Sati Ji. This is the place where Shankar Ji brought her dead body on his Trishul from Haridwar. A trek of 2km is involved in reaching the little temple from the foothill. Visit this temple to experience its religious value.

This temple is 8km from the Mussoorie –Kaddukhal road. It is surrounded by dense forests and provides a scenic view of the environment around. You get a 360-degree view from the top most point of the temple. The Himalayas are visible to the north whereas the cities of Dehradun, Rishikesh among many others are seen on the southern side. The Ganga Dussehra festival is celebrated here every year between May and June which attracts a lot of devotees across the country.
