The Temple is well built with one of the best architecture and famous for its 400 exquisite pillared halls which, dedicated to Varadaraja Swamy. Gold and Silver Lizard are present in the temple premises, upon touching them one believes to get rid of all your misery.
One of the unique features of the temple is the huge chain that was carved off a single stone. A 10-meter tall statue of Vishnu lies immersed in the large tank. The tank is drained once every 40 years and the statue can be viewed only at that time. Temple will be closed by 12.30PM so better to plan a visit before Lunch, and you will definitely have a long Queue line.
