                        “For those that can spare a day in Koh Samui, a trip to Angthong Marine Sanctuary should not be missed. One of the highlights is a view of the lagoon in one of the islands, with beautiful turquoise water. Swimming is not allowed, but there are several viewpoints on one side of the lagoon at various levels. The view is reminiscent of “The Beach” in Ko Phi Phi Le.”

                        “Lovely place, azure waters. Emerald lake in the vicinity. A long steep climb to reach the viewing points. It was raining cats and dogs when we visited. Can’t go down to swim in the Emerald lake but can snorkel and dive near the shores and reefs off an assortment of islands. Some dolphins spotted from afar. Went with the Blue Dragon boat tours Ko Samui team and they were fantastic. Cheers to Ron, Liam and Louie.”

                            On the northern coast of Koh Samui is the famous Big Buddha shrine. Probably Samui’s most well known landmark, the 12 metre high golden Buddha can be seen from several kilometres away.
