"Beautiful structure, though the museum is small inside still its worth entering because it depicts old kolkata images and historical painting of some eminent personalities. The garden and lakes inside the campus are well maintained. Photographers love this place situated at the heart of Kolkata. The lawns are very big and doesn't even feel crowed during the peak winter season. "

"The Victoria Memorial is simply a symbol of Calcutta, especially of its colonial history. Today, it is an excellent place to visit, not only if you're a history-buff, but also if you just want to have a breath of fresh air. The memorial itself houses a sprawling museum with many interesting statues, weapons, paintings, models etc. The surrounding garden, too, has its fair share of statues, all beautifully carved from marble. And the North gate has the famous 'Rex Imperator' gate. "

"It is said that British took inspiration from Taj Mahal and built this truly inspiring piece of beauty. Built from white marbles that give sense of serenity, peace and stability. At the top of this building is statue of an Angle watching the world beneath with motherly eyes."
