You can reach here after a roundabout journey covering a small portion of KhardungLa pass road. Other way to Leh Namgyal Monastery is short trek and the views are worth it. You can walk to the monastery from Leh Palace up a winding track. The trek is pretty steep and high that will also help to get acclimatize with the weather.

The Hall of Fame houses a lot of photographs, weapons, memorabilia and stories of the encounters of so many brave-hearts who lost their lives and became martyrs, to the cause of the freedom of the country. The walls have the name of the soldiers who sacrificed in the war. Other articles such as wallets, letters and other items recovered are also on display.

The museum hides in a courtyard that also contains Leh’s oldest mosque, a traditionally styled Ladakhi show-kitchen and a small exhibition hall. Sadly, a dispute between the land owners and the fund that built the museum means access can prove tricky. There are even rumours that the whole structure could be demolished to create a shopping centre. So see it while you can. Even from the outside the site is worth a look.
