Shri Datun Sahib-The Datun Tree

In the center of the Leh city, the ancient and sacred 'Datun Tree', well known as the Shri Datun(Miswak) Sahib. It is believed Shri Guru Nanak ji has planted this tree during is missionary travel or Udasis to Ladakh. Today the Guru's sapling has grown to be the biggest tree in the city.

Regardless of the religion, this place is highly respected among the residents as it is supposed to be the oldest and biggest tree in the city.
This venerated tree is located in the city's main bazar at the rear of its main mosque.
