Considered to be the dream destination of the horticulturists, Botanical Garden is a true legend of beauty and nature. Spread over an area of 22 hectares, it is a home of more than 650 exotic and indigenous varieties of plants and trees. With a backdrop of mountains, the garden is a delight for nature enthusiasts.
Built in 1847, it is divided into six gardens and has a terraced layout. It is maintained by the Government and is the home of the famous rare park bark tree, a 20-million- old fossil tree, the monkey puzzle tree, etc. The main attraction is the Annual Flower Show which takes place in May, where you can witness an exhibit of the most stunning assortment of the plant kingdom. Also, the Toda Tribe Settlement which is on the top of the garden gives a privy of the tribal culture.
