Buddha Smriti Park in Patna

Buddha Smriti Park, A beautiful multipurpose park has been developed by the Government to commemorate the 2554th birth anniversary of the Lord Buddha. His Holiness Dalai Lama inaugurated the park on 27th May 2010.

The most eye catching attraction of the park is the 200 feet high Stupa. The dome rises high in the sky and provides a magnificent view of the park. The Stupa contains the relics of Buddha, secured in a glass enclosure. The Stupa is named as Pataliputra Karuna Stupa. This Park of Memories symbolizes Bihar’s status as the place of both the origin and dispersion of Buddhism.

The park also includes a Mediation Center, a Library, and a Museum. The park is decorated with the latest light technology and there is a laser event as well which looks damn fascinating in the night.
