Ralam Glacier is one of the main Himalayan glaciers situated on the hills of Pithoragarh district of Uttarakhand, India. Munsiyari is the base for the trek. This glacier is situated near Ralam Dhura at Ralam Khal. It lies at the base of the Great Himalayan Wall. It is situated at an altitude of 2,290 m above sea level. The glacier is glaciological divided into two parts named Upper Ralam and Lower Ralam. From Munsiyari to Ralam Glacier it is 15 km.

Jhulaghat is a village on the Indo-Nepal border, 36 Kilometers far from Pithoragarh. Both sides of the towns are called Julaghat and Jhulaghat. The Kali river flows from East to West along the Indo-Nepal Border creating an international boundary. India and Nepal are connected by a small suspension bridge on the Kali river making an entry point of the people of both country.

Askote Wildlife Sanctuary is a majestic destination located in the middle of a snow covered peak in the Kumaon Himalayas at an elevation of 5412 feet in the Indian state of Uttarakhand. It is a majestic destination for the nature enthusiast. The Sanctuary is rightly known as the green paradise of India. The wildlife sanctuary is positioned 54 km from Pithoragarh near Askote in Uttarakhand. The sanctuary covers an area of 284 square kilometers. The Askot Wildlife Sanctuary was established in 1986 with the object of conserving the musk deer and its habitat. Though the musk deer are present in significant numbers in the sanctuary, they required further protection as they are an endangered species.

Chandak refers to a hill that is famous for housing a temple dedicated to the Hindu deity ‘Manu’ and is situated at a distance of 8 kilometers from Pithoragarh. The location is one of the best spots for hang gliding and the magnetite mining factory is also located near the valley.

This fort, at the outskirts of Pithoragarh town on a hilltop was constructed in 1789 by Gorkhas. Presently it houses the tehsil headquarters. Inside the fort there a plaque which says 1005 men from the town of Pithoragarh participated in the First World War of which 32 laid down their lives in the war. There is not much to see inside the fort except the ramparts as it houses tehsil buildings. In the vicinity of the fort is Ramlila grounds where community functions, particularly Ramlila staging is done. One can have a beautiful view of Pithoragarh town and entire Soar valley from the fort.

8 Kms from Pithoragarh on Didihat road is situated a place called Totanaula from where after a 3 Km long steep and tough climb is reached the Jayanti temple. On the way, some 200 ft. below the main temple, is situated the cave temple of Lord Shiva. From the hilltop where the Jayanti temple is situated the Panch-chuli and Nanda Devi peaks of Himalayas in all their splendour can be clearly sighted.

The shrine of the Lord who is an incarnation of Lord Shiva lies below the temple enclosure and is reached by crawling through a small but narrow tunnel. The temple is at a considerable height and at the summit one can have an ecstatic view of Pithoragarh.
