The Temi Tea Garden was established in 1969, it is now considered to be one of the best tea gardens not only of India, but of the world. Situated at an altitude of about 7000 ft, the Temi Tea Garden encompasses an area of 440 acres. The contour of the land is of gentle slopes, which are part of the Tendong Hill range. The annual tea production is about 100 tonnes.

The tea produced here is completely Organic, which has been awarded the ‘All India Quality Award’ by the Tea Board of India, and finds its market in various other countries, such as Japan and Canada. For the tourists who wish to stay, the Cherry Resort on the Hill of the Tea Garden is an ideal choice, as it allows them to sightsee the beauty of the tea garden, while observing the life of the plantation workers. The tea garden can either be reached by a car or a bus, from Pelling, Gangtok, Ravangla, or Namchi.
