"Please beware that you can not just enter the park. First of all, it is open on weekdays only (Monday to Friday) and secondly you have to obtain permission from the forest conservator. Ironically Forest conservator does not sit at the national park but at some other site. We felt that the whole process was a deterrent and government should revisit the process to make it tourist friendly. This will turn out to be good revenue earner for Government and will be another reason for tourists to visit Srinagar."
