Hemkund Sahib, Valley Of Flowers-World’s Highest Gurudwara
Hemkund Sahib is considered to be world’s highest gurudwara and Valley of Flowers is one of the most breathtaking meadows located on the Upper Himalayas. A trek to both the destinations is a delightful experience and adds to your quest for inner peace.
Since both of them are located in the Chamoli district, the starting point is from Gobindghat and the base camp is same at Ghangaria. After visiting Hemkund Sahib, the trek to Valley of Flowers is approximately 3 km. The entire journey is full of breathtaking sceneries, absolute tranquility and full of solace. The trek is a bit steep at some points but overall it is an easy one. The best time to go on for this will be June to September when the nature is at its full blossom. So, enjoy the serenity of the trek with a pinch of adventure.
