Sri Digambar Jain Temple at Sarnath is of historical significance. It is at this place which is also called Simhapuri, 11 th Tirthankara of Jainism; Shreyasnath was born here at the Shri Digambar Jain Mandir which lies right to the southwest of the Dhamek Stupa. This temple is dedicated to Tirthankara Parashwanath.
