"It is worth a stop. Sadly, it's been repainted in a gaudy gold paint which makes it look cheap, very unfortunate. The other structures next to it are more attractive."

"Not exactly the shining gold stupa that you see in many photos, it's actually quite dirty. The experience was a bit disappointing for us."

"Great stupa but maybe they should clean it one day! Its allmost black instead of gold!"

"wonderful but not as impressive as I'd expected. good on monday afternoon as it's quiet. entrance to the stupa is till 4pm but lots of interesting things to see after that, eg big reclining golden buddha statue"
