Pagoda Point in Yercaud

Pagoda Point is located on Eastern part of Yercaud, on the 5th Km from the Yercaud Lake. The local tribes had built an arrangement of rocks in four Piles that looked like a pyramid. This made the place to be also called as Pyramid Point.

There is a temple located at this place between the piles, which is dedicated to Lord Rama. Tourists can enjoy beautiful views of the town of Salem along with a village known as Karakambadi.

The best time to visit this place is immediately after the monsoon season.

The Tribals gather here in thousands to celebrate their Annual Festival in the month of May every Year.

                            Bear’s Cave is located on the way to the famous Servarayan Temple. Though this cave is now a private property but tourists are allowed to enter. A temple close to the cave is of high religious value and is flocked by tourists all year-round. It is believed that during the time of war, this cave was used as a hideout by Tipu Sultan. If tourists wish, they can try to squeeze past the boulders into the cave and explore it. There is a also huge cave formation beside a coffee estate bungalow, which was considered to be home for the bears.
