(Andharban Forest Trek)

Andharban, itself means dense dark forest. Andharban is one of the most beautiful trek in Sahyadris. The best time to visit this place is during monsoon or post monsoon. In this trek, it takes around 4 hours to descend the forest covered with dense forest and shade both sides.

En-route enjoy the waterfalls & cascades and awesome view of Kundalika valley. Here, we will be descending from Pune (Ghatmatha) to Konkan. This trek is also famous among nature lovers, shutterbugs for various species of Butterfly and flowers are there.

Itinerary / Tour Plan

Meet our trek Leader at Dadar station by 12:30 am (Overnight Journey).

Start our journey from Dadar to Pimpri village. Its almost 150 kms journey and we will reach at start point early morning. After having breakfast at local villager’s house, we will start trekking by 7:30 am.

We will start descending from “Ghatmatha” to descend towards Konkan region by trek route. It’s altogether 4-5 hours of descend which is the best part of the trek ! Trekking through dense forest and with number of waterfall on the way to refresh yourself. Bhira Dam is the end point of trek.

After reaching Bhira Dam our vehicle is ready for pickup. Have evening refreshments. And proceed back to Mumbai or Pune

Good team, but all of them are too lenient on late comers….we had a great time, but were late by 4 hours at starting point itself and that resulted in our trek to Triund to start late afternoon instead of morning. Otherwise, very friendly n cooperative team and fun to travel with. Packages are quite competitively priced. All the best, will definitely join TDG for another trip in near future.

Lavasa, Maharashtra, India

Lavasa is a private, planned city being built near Pune. It is stylistically based on the Italian town Portofino, with a street and several buildings bearing the name of that town. Planned sports facilities include a Nick Faldo-designed golf course and a Manchester City-branded football academy. However, the Nick Faldo website no longer touts the golf course, and a 2010 press release is the sole communication Manchester City has made in reference to a football academy. A theme park of over 65 acres (0.26 km2) in size is planned.
