Old houses exhibiting traditional Kumaoni architecture can be seen here. Moving ahead on the trek, you will reach a cluster of seven lakes, known as Sat tal. The month of March-May is the perfect time to visit this lake. According to a popular belief, the palace of the famous King Nala drowned in this lake. King Nala and his wife Queen Damayanti lived together in the palace near this lake, thus the name Nal Damayanti Tal. It is a very sacred place for the local population and tourists alike.
