Jeep Safari is the ideal way to enjoy the copious vegetation and zoology of Bandipur. From the trumpeting elephants to the ferocious tigers, Bandipur has it all. There are over 200 species of birds, enough to satiate a bird enthusiast. The forest is a home to plentiful herbs and remedial plants.

It is an open Jeep Safari and the scheduled timings are in the morning from 6-9 am or in the afternoon from 3pm to 6pm. The safari usually take 2-3 hrs. The forest is open for the whole year but the best time is in March to May. The weather is clear during the summers and animals come out of their hidings.
