The Ragigudda Sri Prasanna Anjaneyaswamy Temple located on the hilltop is the main attraction in the temple premises. There was a huge heap of Ragi (a food grain) that turned into a rock, therefore the name “Ragigudda” as per the history. When this incident happened, The Thrimurthies, Lord Brahma, Vishnu, Shiva visited the spot, wanted to reside here permanently modifying themselves into three huge stones pillars.
