Chalakudy River also called as Chalakudy Puzha is one of the major rivers in Kerala State of India. River flows through Palakkad district, Thrissur District and Ernakulam District of Kerala and is the fourth longest river in the state with a length of 145.5 km. The river though has its origin in the Anamalai region of Tamil Nadu, is actually a collection of some major tributaries originated from Parambikulam, Kuriyarkutti, Sholayar, Kara Para and Anakkayam in Kerala. It merges with the Periyar River near Puthenvelikkara, adjacent to Manjali, North Paravur in Ernakulam District.

The ever flowing Chalakudy river is so inviting and so cool that one will really love to be soaked for hours. The so crystal looking water flowing across the rocks is good to see and hear.
