It’s a lonely planet and true paradise. There would very few folks around. Beach offers good time to spend peaceful evening with sound of water and watching sunset and if you are lucky, dolphins may come visit you as well. This beach has limited connectivity, you can reach there by a trek or take a boat from Om beach.

The Mahabaleshwar Temple, Gokarna is a Hindu temple. A Pranalinga (Pranalinga is defined as “the reality of God which can be apprehended by the mind.”) also known as Shiva Linga is deified in the temple, which is facing the city beach of the Arabian Sea in Gokarna. The Shiva Linga has a hoary legend. It is said to bestow immense blessings to devotees who even glimpse it. The temple is considered as pious as the Shiva temple at Varanasi or Kashi in North India on the banks of the Ganges River and hence is known as the Dakshin Kasi.

The most secluded, quietest and most beautiful beach at Gokarna. You should visit this beach via the trek from Om beach. It takes you through the small forest and shows some really scenic spots where you can admire the beauty of Gokarna, especially the cliff face where you can see the wave lashing out on the rocky shore below and all that lies ahead of you is the horizon where you can distinguish where the sea ends and sky starts. A must visit when at Gokarna.

This beach is less crowded, calm waves, few little shacks with food and stay. It has a good top view as its in the shape of the Sanskrit word om by which the beach got its name.

You can spend their whole morning eating breakfast at one of the cafe near beach and see the never ending water. Take a bath, get tanned in the Sun or play football on the beach. Night time, one can keep a lot of candles with them, dig a hole in the sand and can create their small campfire in the beach.

The Gokarna beach forms the coast of the town and is followed by Main beach in northern direction while the other four beaches lie to the south. Gokarna Main Beach is mainly used by Indian pilgrims. Main Beach is a long open beach, known for surfing.
