The Hazara Rama Temple, or the ‘Thousand Rama Temple’, is a historical temple based in the ancient city of Hampi. The temple owes it name to the numerous panels of carving of the events which happened in Ramayana. Walls and pillars of the temple depict the story of Ramayana. This temple is considered to be the private temple to royalty of Vijayanagara empire.

The Hazara Rama temple faces a sprawling lawn on its north side. The outer walls of the temple are decorated with bas-relics of Krishna and Ram. There are two huge gates, which give entry into the premises. The presence of three empty pedestals infer that the idols of Rama, Sita and Lakshmana once stood there.
