Mamleshwar Mahadev Temple in Karsog

The Mamleshwar Mahadev Temple is located in the Mamel village of Mandi district of Himachal Pradesh. This is an ancient temple with many religious importance and beliefs. It is said that the temple is 5000 years old. The temple is belived to have witnessed Satyuga , Treta, Dwapar and now Kalyuga.

It is a sacred place where Rishi Bhrigu meditated. There is also an Akhand Dhuni( fire) which is continuously burning in the temple campus from the very Mahabharata period. There is also a 150 gram wheat grain which is considered to be thousand years old. The Drum of Bhim and the Shivling installed by Pandava are other attractions. The temple is situated in the beautiful Karsog Valley. Karsog Valley is known for its ethereal beauty and openness. There are many apple orchards and dense forests of pine and cedar. Transport and hotels are easily available in Karsog valley.
