A place of peace and tranquillity in the Kodaikanal resort is St.Peter’s Church. The elegant building was constructed by the late bishop of Tirunelveli, Bishop Robert Caldwell. One of the oldest churches, it is situated on a small hill summit near to Coaker’s Walk. It is a small, calm and well maintained architectural marvel.

This brick walled structure has a 200 year old history of devotees gathering at the house of an elder and later became a place of congregation. Now, it has around 100 followers, with the church contributing to the needs of basic education for unprivileged children. The church is a haven for all ardent devotees and soul seekers. Nestled in green valleys, it is a must see location in Kodaikanal.
