Located in Chatra Vilas garden of Nayan Pura, near Kishore Sagar the Kota zoological park not a frequently visited place. It is a small zoo with animals like bears, tigers, black buck, rabbits, ducks, monkeys, bee hives, poultry birds and pet animals.

The zoological park also has some fruit gardens. The place gives a farm like experience in the midst of a desert. The zoo is open from 9:00 am to 8:00 pm. The ideal to visit the place is morning. Families can enjoy a picnic like experience and learn about the few animals and fruit trees species in the park. The place attracts fewer tourists and is underrated but is perfect to live a homely experience for an hour or two, away from the crowds of the city.

The scene creates a euphoric moment at night jingling in the bright palace lights and reflecting thousands of colors on the lake water. The entrance is marked by the giant statues of elephants on either side of the jetty, and the interior is made of different Mahals with vivid features and antiquities. Each Mahal has its own aura but the most eye catching one is the Gul Mahal made in Islamic style also housing a mosque. The place exhibits the lifestyle of the Royals of Rajasthan who used it as a pleasure Palace with the exhibition of several ancient items. There are gardens outside the Mahals and also an ancient fountain. Places of interest near Jagmandir palace are Kesharbagh and Royal cenotaphs.

A fine blend of Rajput and Victorian architecture is evident in the vast courtyards, picturesque ceilings, marble corridors, Royal heirlooms and elegant Lawns of the palace. The 32 room palace for the royal retreat in today’s world is a lavish hotel. The place even displays the hunting trophies that boast about the might of Rajput rulers. The cost of the hotel is Rs.4862-6947 per night that is worth the facilities and luxuries offered. A Banquet hall, a cycling track, jogging trail, badminton court, croquet and the museum make it even more interesting to spend some time at the Umed Bhawan.

Khade Ganesh Ji temple located on Mahakal road is a Hindu place of worship with a 600 years old diety of Lord Ganesha. The place is close to the Chambal River and is situated at an altitude of 316m. It is easy to reach the place through buses or taxis from the Kota garh. The place is full of devotees at the time of Ganesh Chaturthi. People come and offer the Prasad of modak (Ganeshji’s favorite) and laddoos that are available near the temple, attend Arti, perform rituals, ring the bell for the fulfillment of their wishes. It’s very common to spot peacocks in the temple; the nearby lake is a home to those peacocks that beautify the spiritual moment. Though the temple timings are from 6:00 am to 6:00 pm it’s better to visit early morning to avoid the rush. The nearest places of interest include the nearby temples and a Cineplex; other attractions include the Baroli temple and the Kishore Sagar Lake.

They rejuvenating gusts of winds blowing drains all the earthly pain and lights up the soul. The place is easy to reach through private vehicles or hired taxis from Kota through NH76. Local priests perform rituals from early morning till 5:30 pm and Prasad can be purchased from near the parking area. It’s good to know beforehand that pets and footwear and pets are not allowed in the temple premises.                             This palace was built in the 13th century and is also known as Kota Garh. The architecture and art is a combination of Mughal and Rajasthani style. The breath-taking beauty of Sheesh Mahal; having wall paintings made with glass murals, mirror walls, and mirror ceilings, hanging illuminated lights, floral decorations, marble floorings and fashioned entrance are Kota’s pride for its long-lasting and miraculous historical evidence. The palace has a lavish garden and a grand museum. The museum encloses a unique collection of medieval weaponries, costumes, and apparels of erstwhile kings and queens. It is designed in monuments, apartments, and suits each displaying the artifacts and handicrafts of Kota&#39;s preserved cultural heritage. There is also a vast collection of miniature paintings. The Darbar has silver Diwan and chairs, is ornamented with mirror walls and everlasting bright glass colors. The palace can be visited between 10:00 am to 5:00 pm with a minimal entry fee of Rs.30 per head for adults and Rs.15 per head for children (for museum only) for foreigners the fee is Rs.300 inclusive of visiting the Badal Mahal. There is an additional fee for inside photography and special permission should be taken for commercial photography and visiting exclusive rooms.

The place gives a farm like experience in the midst of a desert. The zoo is open from 9:00 am to 8:00 pm. The ideal to visit the place is morning. Families can enjoy a picnic like experience and learn about the few animals and fruit trees species in the park. The place attracts fewer tourists and is underrated but is perfect to live a homely experience for an hour or two, away from the crowds of the city.
