The Forest Museum, located atop the Dow Hills in Kurseong, is a paradise for nature lovers. It is constructed and maintained by the Forest Department. Only 3 km away from Kurseong, this magnificent double storied museum contains an enviable collection of flora and fauna.

It undergoes periodic renovations to uphold its high standards as a prime tourist attraction. One can visit any day of the week. The museum has animal skin, preserved bones, wooden articles and models of dams and forest bungalows. Next to the museum is the Forest Training School. The Forest Rest House is also close. It lies in the heart of the forest, beset with Dhupi trees on all sides. Far away from the maddening crowd, all one can hear here is the sound of silence, occasionally orchestrated by the sweet chirping of the birds. The rest house also has a garden adorned with pine trees and flowering plants. One can book accommodation at the rest house through the forest department.
