Ladakh is famous for its high altitude mountain passes as some of the highest motorable road are located in the Ladakh region.. The third highest motorable mountain pass in the world, Chang La Pass, situated at an altitude of 5,360 meters above sea level, is named after the Sadhu Changla Baba.

The Pass temple was built after him only. The place is famous for its scenic and serene natural beauty which attracts tourists from all around the world. You can reach here after a roundabout journey covering a small portion of KhardungLa pass road. Other way to Leh Namgyal Monastery is short trek and the views are worth it. You can walk to the monastery from Leh Palace up a winding track. The trek is pretty steep and high that will also help to get acclimatize with the weather.

The Hall of Fame houses a lot of photographs, weapons, memorabilia and stories of the encounters of so many brave-hearts who lost their lives and became martyrs, to the cause of the freedom of the country. The walls have the name of the soldiers who sacrificed in the war. Other articles such as wallets, letters and other items recovered are also on display.

There are even rumours that the whole structure could be demolished to create a shopping centre. So see it while you can. Even from the outside the site is worth a look.
