Neral Matheran Toy Train is a heritage train. It is managed by the Central Railways and the foundation of this charming hill railway was laid by Abdul Hussein Adamjee Peerbhoy in the beginning of the 20th century. Neral Matheran Toy Train is a two feet narrow-gauge toy train connecting Neral and Matheran covering a distance of about 20 km was opened for public in the year 1907.

Neral Matheran Toy Train has four pairs of train operating between the destinations usually but however during monsoon, just one pair operates on a daily basis. This train travels up the mountain, from where tourists can enjoy fascinating views of dense forests and hills. Also for those who prefer some personal space, the train has a deluxe compartment that is well-equipped with modern facilities and passengers can closely observe the outside scenic beauty while sitting in the train on the installed television.
