The Silent Valley National Park located in Palakkad is a not to miss location for any animal lover and nature admirer. Located in the core of the Nilgiri Biosphere Reserve, the silent valley is abuzz with the gurgling streams and hustle and bustle of the animals. It is known as the Sairandrivanam among the locals meaning “the forest in the valley”.

It has a rich reserve of biodiversity with the elephants, lion tailed macques and tigers as the common residents.
