“Oh lady, sit here” is another name for Sho Dzo Sho or Khecheopalri Lake. The lake is better known for fulfilling all the wishes which are wished here and is sacred for both Buddhists and Hindus. The Sanga Choeling Monastery being one of the oldest monasteries in Sikkim was established in 17th century by Lama Lhatsun Chaempo. It is a site of heritage is undertaken by many Buddhist devotees. Pemayangtse Monastery is located opposite to this Monastery at about 7 km which must be paid a visit. People can also visit Rani Dhunga Jungle Trek, which is a 3 hours trek from here. March to June months is the best time to visit here as the weather remains warm and pleasant. According to the Tibetan calendar, the Lama’s recite hymns at the Monastery every 10th day of the month. Rabdentse was the 16th former capital of Sikkim established by Chogyal II, during 1670 to 1814, which is now in ruins. This capital was destroyed by Nepalese invasion and now only the ruins have remained. The ruins of the city are near Pelling and closest to the Pemayangtse Monastery. It is a Buddhist monastery near Pelling in Sikkim, India. This monastery was designed and founded by Lama Lhatsun Chempo in 1705.
