                        “Its around 3 hours from Bangalore through decent roads. Situated amidst the Cauvery Wildlife Sanctuary along the beautiful banks of the Cauvery River. Getting there is quite easy using Google maps. Do note however, that there is a Forest Checkpost at all the entry points where they will strictly confiscate alcohol, cigarettes and other prohibited items. And they check each and every vehicle passing through the gates so avoid carrying any of those prohibited items. The property is well managed with clean beds and washrooms. Executive tents and log huts are available for accommodation, and only the log huts are air conditioned. Opt for the ‘bamboo hut’ if your budget allows. It will leave you speechless with its location! The buffets are excellent and will leave you wanting for more even after you’re stuffed. Fishing is banned here but they do have other activities available like hiking, bird watching, kayaking, zip lines, etc. Staff are all very warm and courteous. Definitely worth a stay!”

                            The Gaganachukki Falls are shaped like a huge horsetail. It is a steep waterfall that rushes down with great velocity and provides incredible views. The Gaganachukki waterfalls are best viewed from the watch tower at Shivanasamudra. The twin waterfalls have an average height of 98 metres and can be approached from two sides. Reaching the bottom of the waterfall from the watch tower side is not possible as the area is fenced and no one is allowed to go near the water.
