"Chandragiri hill is a jain centre famous for its colossal monolith statue of Gommateshwara, 17 meters in height , carved out of a single boulder . Knownas" BAHUBALI" it is said to be the tallest monolith statue in the world. Thousands of devotees congregate here ton perform the special Mahamastakabhisheka , a spectacular ceremony held once in 12 years, when the statue of Gommateshwara is anointed with milk, curd, ghee, honey, saffron and gold coins. It is worth visiting place."

"Medium size hill , has steps cut on the rocks to climb. Shoes are not allowed to be worn while climbing so carry 2-3 pair of socks and wear one on top of other while climbing. Lot of temples on the top. Chandragupta Maurya spent his final days here."
