Dumas Beach is an urban beach in Surat City. This beach is believed to be one of the most haunted places of India. It is a popular tourist destination in south Gujarat. Apart from the beach, places of interest at Dumas including the Dariya Ganesh Temple located adjacent to the main beach. The promenade has several shops selling Indian snacks like Bhajiya, Pav Bhaji, Chinese, sweet corn roasted on charcoal and also famous the Lashkari Tomato Bhajiya.

Jagdish Chandra Bose Aquarium is situated in the Pal area of Surat, Gujarat, India. It is the first multidisciplinary underwater aquarium of its kind in the country. The JCB Aquarium is the home of more than 100 species of fish. For example, American Lobster, Moray Eel, Snowflake Eel and Turtles. It is one of the best tourist places in Surat for nature lovers. Entrance passes are valid only for the day and time it is issued.

Its a good vast beach not very far from the city Surat. The travellers who never have visited a beach anytime before will have a good experience. The water is clear with heavy waves. There are few food stalls on the sand where you can enjoy sweet corn and coconut water and other savouries while enjoying the sunset. The only thing is that it is not very mantained and cleaned. Also one needs to get back to the city just after the sunset as the way back is somewhat lonely. Overall a good experience for spending an evening on a weekend.

Also known as the Sardar Sangralaya, this museum was established in 1889, and the collection represents the rich history and eclectic ethnic mix of Surat. It also provides maps for travelers. Open from 9am-11:30am and 2:30pm-5pm every day except Sundays and public holidays. The Planetarium runs a show on the universe, in Gujarati, from 11:15am -1:45pm, Wednesday-Saturday and from 2:45pm-5:45pm, Sunday and Tuesday. It is closed on Monday.
