Itinerary / Tour Plan

Day 1

12:00 Noon – Check-in at our river side Jungle camps in Tanakpur, welcome with the arrival drink(non-alcoholic). You can rest in tents and freshen up yourself. The highlight of the day is the most awaited rafting expedition at Mahakali River. With all your camping gear and packed waterproof luggage, move ahead to make the most of the thrilling adventure including rapid 3, (grade 3rd and 4th) rafting (max river area for rafting is 117km). This river is also known for one of the best angling spots for Mahaseer

1:00 pm – Camp Lunch to end your fatigue and refresh yourself with the best meal of the day. Along the cobbled banks of the Sharda river, the alpine tent is of high-quality canvas that is water-proof and does not allow snow to settle in making it ideal for hilly regions. The twin sharing alpine net has an attached toilet, a twin bed and  standard amenities along with evening bonfire to make it a cozy, comfortable stay.

5:00 pm – With the evening tea, you will be ready to enjoy the sunset and night time neat Ganga. As you wind up your day with the fun and adventure streaks, you can expect a bonfire in the making by eventide. A crackling fire, with some music in the background, would just add to the natural symphony around – of silence & stillness! The Bonfire Dinner will end your day at relaxing note. Rest overnight in camps under the stars.

Day 2

7:00 am – Experience the sunrise in the land of saints and you will feel so blessed by being so close to the nature in Tanakpur. Have your morning tea and freshen for the day.

10:00 am – After Breakfast, you can checkout from the camp site and take away the beautiful and long living memories with you. You will be free to go for waterfall nature trekking as your last adventure of the trip.

Good team, but all of them are too lenient on late comers….we had a great time, but were late by 4 hours at starting point itself and that resulted in our trek to Triund to start late afternoon instead of morning. Otherwise, very friendly n cooperative team and fun to travel with. Packages are quite competitively priced. All the best, will definitely join TDG for another trip in near future.

Tanakpur, Uttarakhand, India

Tanakpur, which is located in the foothills of Himalays, in Northern part of India, is not only the gateway of Kumaon hills but also of the Purnagiri temple, which is about 30 km from Tanakpur. Just by the side of the Nepal border, Tankpur is a small and extremely clam and peaceful town. The fact that it’s located on the riverside of Sarada river, explains its serenity. Being a town on the borders of India, the town has national importance. Tanakpur has an elevation of around 255 meters. It has connectivity by air, rail and road. Though the Tanakpur has no airport of its own, Dehradun airport is the nearest.
