Hampi is a village located in north Karnataka. Also a very famous temple town, Hampi as a whole is classified as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The name ‘Hampi’ is derived from ‘Pampa’, the ancient name for Tungabhadra river. Obviously, the town is situated on the banks of the Tungabhadra river. Hampi is the abode of ancient temples, palace ruins and other structures. Every monument has a rich history behind it. The most significant temple is the Virupaksha temple, a beautifully and exquisitely carved temple, which was dedicated to the deity of the once-powerful Vijaynagar empire. The entire town of Hampi is enclosed by massive boulders of various sizes. This ancient site has attracted many tourists from across the globe to revel in its historic glory.

Guntakal is a famous tourist place in Andhra Pradesh. It is also well known for its spinning mills and film distributors. The shirdi sai baba temple here is visited by many people. The temple of Chippagiri here built from the granite stone is very famous in the region and the Sri Guntakalla temple which organizes a big pooja every Sunday which attracts a lot of devotees. Chippagiri is also famous for having 101 temples and 101 wells. Guntakal has a very old Shiva temple which is also a famous pilgrimage place. The most famous and eminent temple of Guntakal is Lord Anjaneya Swamy temple. Religious harmony could be witnessed here as there is also a tomb of great Sufi saint Hazrath Mastan Vali near the temple, so a lot of devotees come here to take the blessings of the great saint irrespective of their religion. Other famous places to visit in Guntakal are Sri Venkateswara temple, Dargah shareef of eminent saint Hazrat Sattar Haji and Mother Mary church. Travelers can visit the various places in the town by hiring an auto.

Kurnool is city and the headquarters of Kurnool district in the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh. It is also known as the Gateway to Rayalaseema. Kurnool served as the state capital of Andhra from 1 October 1953 to 31 October 1956. Kurnool is the longest cave system and is one of the Kurnool attractions which are visited by most of the people. It is an underground cave and has three well like cavities. The main attraction of the cave is the exquisite stalactite and stalagmite formations. Huge marble Buddha statue on these caves is the sign of worship of Buddhist monks. Natural waterfall is also seen in this cave which is very beautiful and attractive. Oravakallu Rock Garden, which has natural rock formations. This place is located between water bodies.The Kethavaram rock paintings, from the Paleolithic era, are located along a stretch of the Orvakal rock formations. It is also a perfect place for picnics.

It is one of India’s 49 project tiger reserves existing in India. Tadoba National Park is popularly known as ‘The Land of Tigers’ as large number of tigers (approx.43) are found here. It is one of the oldest and largest national park, which has endless treasure trove of large number of species of trees & plants and wildlife like panthers, tigers, hyenas, sloth bears, wild dogs, jackals, barking deer, bison, sambar, herd of deer to name a few. Overshadowed by teak & bamboo, and with a magical landscape of rugged cliffs, marshlands, lakes, etc., it’s full of unlike flora and fauna. Tadoba national park is open for visitors from october to june every season. Despite of this, limited safari is possible from october on current booking basis. Tadoba national park remains full day closed for visitors on every Tuesday.
