Chapora fort of Goa is of historic importance that gained fame after its appearance in the movie Dil Chahta Hai. Located near the Vagator beach, it is a place to get a beautiful view of beaches and the horizon. One can reach Chapora fort by a trek on the hill and once you reach the top, you are welcomed by a narrow deep gate and enchanting view in every direction.

Looking back at the history of the Chapora fort, you will hear stories about sieges of Maratha and defence of Portuguese colonists. T he brilliant Portuguese defence architecture work will stun you. In this piece of ruin, you can find ramparts over which you can walk and see the gun ports, murder holes, arrow slits and tunnels. The sunsets are worth watching from the Chapora fort which adds a tint of crimson to the panoramic view that imbues you with serenity and it is not something to be missed!
