Rollapadu Bird Sanctuary came into existence in 1988 with an aim to protect the Lesser Floricans and the Great Indian Bustard which emerged as an endangered species. The bird sanctuary is located in the Nandikotkuru village of Kurnool District. The sanctuary experience dry climate condition with very little rainfall.The winters are pleasant with a temperature at an average 18-degree centigrade.

Park is open on all days between 0700hrs to 1800 hrs. The best time to visit the sanctuary is from October to February.
