Dagdusheth Halwai Ganapati Temple
Dagdusheth Halwai Ganapati Temple
The temple also boasts of its rich architecture over a span of 100 years where the 7 feet tall 4 feet wide idol can be seen from a viewer standing outside the shrine. The great leader Lokmanya Tilak being a close friend of Dagdusheth suggested that the Ganesh festival be celebrated in the shrine marking a tradition which continues till this day. Ganeshotsav, the most celebrated 10 days festival is worth paying a visit. An enticing site for visitors and devotees alike are the marble statues of Jay and Vijay which are the sentinels of the shrine. You can also be proud that your offerings to the temple are actually used for supporting various charity funds.
