Pataleshwar Caves
Finding a mention in the Guinness Book of Records, the Pataleshwar cave museum is most famous for the 5000 character inscription engraved on a grain of rice. The circular Nandimandapa is one of the best attractions of the temple with its umbrella shaped canopy mounted on strong pillars. Other structures of the temple include massive pillars, a Shiva shrine and a Nandi bull. Indian mythological stories about Lord Shiva, inscribed on the cave walls gives you an insight into the past. A visit to the Pataleshwar cave temple is an enriching experience which is worth your every penny.
