Bering Nag Temple in Sangla

The Bering Nag Temple of Sangla, is one of the most popular tourist destinations of the Sangla Valley, and the most important temple of the region. The temple is dedicated to Lord Jagas, an incarnation of Lord Shiva, and snakes, and is extremely revered by the locals.

The Temple is an ancient one, with the buildings made out of wood and stone, with their architecture being derivative from the Buddhist Pagodas. The dome of the temple is believed to be made out of pure gold, and the locals believe that the inner chambers of the temple house precious gems as well. The Temple observes an annual festival called the “Fulaich Fair”, during the months of August and September, which attracts hundreds of tourists every year.

Special in Bering Nag Temple: During the Spring Season (March or April), the Apricot blossom in the region provides a wonderful pink hue to the premises of the temple, offering a magical experience.
