Dashashwamedh ghat in Varanasi is one of the oldest, most spectacular and important ghat, located at the bank of the river Ganga near old Vishwanath Temple in Uttar Kashi. The Ganga Aarti of this ghat is very popular. This ghat represents the centuries Culture heritage of Varanasi.

Ghat has a high contrast of its activities during day and night time, both time of the day showcase two different views. In spite of the oppressive boat owners, flowers sellers massage practitioners and touts trying to drag you off to a silk shop, it’s a wonderful place to linger and people –while soaking up the atmosphere. The Dashashwamedh Ghat Ganga Aarti begins at 7PM every evening; river worship ceremony with prayers, fire and dance is staged here.
