Oboz Hiking Shoes # 1) Oboz Sawtooth X Low B-Dry Hiking Shoe – Men’s

oboz hiking shoes: Oboz Sawtooth X Low B-Dry Hiking Shoe - Men's by Store Oboz Store

Product Summary: Sawtooth X Low Waterproof

The Sawtooth X Low Waterproof has all the bells and whistles of the non-waterproof version, but with the added benefit of Oboz’s B-DRY waterproof and breathable technology. While the new Sawtooth X has refined styling, it retains the Cordura vents that help promote breathability and make it recognizably a Sawtooth. But your feet will recognize it as a Sawtooth first and foremost.

Sawtooth X

The Sawtooth X is Oboz’s most advanced hiking boot to date. It has all the features you love about the Sawtooth, but with the added benefit of Oboz’s B-DRY waterproof and breathable technology. This boot is perfect for those who demand the best in waterproof and breathable hiking boots. The Sawtooth X is also available in a non-waterproof version.

A 5-Star Review: I have worn a 14 regular earlier version of this shoe daily for 7 years. I rotated between 3 pairs. One is worn and I need to replace it. I finally found a pair and placed an order.

It was too small to wear comfortably. The top of the back of the shoes is lower than my current shoes and does not seem as sturdy (only a visual impression as I could not walk). It is more of a casual shoe than a hiking shoe that I need.

Now, I have to search for a new shoe.

Oboz Hiking Shoes # 2) Oboz Women’s Sapphire Low B-Dry Waterproof Hiking Shoe

oboz hiking shoes: Oboz Women's Sapphire Low B-Dry Waterproof Hiking Shoe by Store Oboz Store

Product Summary: The Oboz Women‘s Sapphire Low BDry Waterproof Hiking Shoe is a versatile and durable shoe that is perfect for any adventure. The shoe is made with a waterproof and breathable membrane that will keep your feet dry and comfortable, while the EVA midsole provides cushioning and support. The Vibram outsole provides traction and stability on any terrain, making this shoe ideal for hiking, walking, or even running.

A 5-Star Review: I have recently only wore Ahnu boots and hikers. Well, of course, they quit making them. So sad. It has taken me quite awhile to find another one comparable. I do not like the “other” 3 most popular brands. Nevertheless, the Oboz is a great boot, and very comparable!! (They also have other styles to choose from.) Perfectly waterproof, fits great with room for a thicker sock as well. Great support. However, it needs a good break-in time, unless your feet are perfect and nothing ever bothers them, as they are quite stiff. Hence the 4 stars!!

A Critical Review: I previously wore the Oboz Sawtooth II and LOVED them. Unfortunately, that style has been discontinued so I needed a plan B. I decided to try the Sapphire. They look nice and are well made. However, the uppers are so stiff! I’ve been walking short distances in them for months now and they still feel like concrete blocks on my feet. So disappointed 😞

Oboz Hiking Shoes # 3) Oboz Sypes Mid Leather B-Dry Hiking Shoe – Men’s

oboz hiking shoes: Oboz Sypes Mid Leather B-Dry Hiking Shoe - Men's by Store Oboz Store

Product Summary: The Oboz Men’s Sypes Mid Leather B-Dry Hiking Shoe is a versatile and comfortable option for day hikes and light backpacking trips. The leather and mesh upper is tough and breathable, and the B-Dry waterproofing keeps your feet dry in wet conditions. The mid-cut height provides support and stability on uneven terrain, and the EVA foam footbed cushions your foot for all-day comfort. The Vibram outsole has a lugged design for traction on a variety of surfaces.

A 5-Star Review: These are great, comfortable boots. Through no fault of Oboz, I decided to buy a pair that were marked down from full price here on Amazon. They were sold by an outside seller and when they arrived I realized they were cosmetic seconds or defects. One boot is much darker than the other. I don’t mind too much, I’ll keep them. But beware. Those odd boots on sale may have something wrong with them.

A Critical Review: Hot in summer. Ankle support is on the low side. Good traction. Light weight.

Oboz Hiking Shoes # 4) Oboz Sawtooth X Low Hiking Shoe – Men’s

oboz hiking shoes: Oboz Sawtooth X Low Hiking Shoe - Men's by Store Oboz Store

Product Summary: The Oboz Sawtooth X Low Hiking Shoe Men‘s is a versatile, lowcut hiking shoe that‘s perfect for day hikes and light backpacking trips. It has a tough, yet lightweight synthetic leather and mesh upper that‘s durable and breathable, and a cushioned EVA midsole for comfort on the trail. The Oboz Sawtooth X Low also has a tough rubber outsole with a lugged tread pattern for traction on any terrain.

A 5-Star Review: These shoes replaced a pair of Keen’s that I have had for about 8 years. My Keens set a high bar for comfort whatever was to follow but I wanted a shoe that would not have the sole treads peel away like Keen’s are prone to. My initial purchase was a size 11 which I have worn for 20+ years but I found that these shoes run small. Replacing the 11’s with an 11.5 was perfect and I found the shoes to be very comfortable from that point forward. These shoes accompanied me on a vacation out west where we hit 4 of Utah’s Mighty Five national parks and the north rim of the Grand Canyon. I am not a serious hiker. I do it for fun and recreation so I didn’t put more than 5-7 miles per day on these shoes but I never had a issue with them. The traction on dust, gravel and slick rock was excellent and I felt very stable traversing up and down. They held me with out concern while we waited in the line for 20 minutes for a photo under Delicate Arch on a 45 degree slick rock slope. They were equally good on the dust and gravel of the North Kaibab Trail. They clean up easily and lace up firmly across my foot. Overall I am very pleased. I don’t see any indications that the sole treads will separate like my Keen’s so I am very optimistic.

A Critical Review: I ordered these in my standard size. When trying them on, I could hardly get my foot into them. Genuinely painful.

Oboz Hiking Shoes # 5) Oboz Men’s Bridger Low B-Dry Waterproof Hiking Shoe

oboz hiking shoes: Oboz Men's Bridger Low B-Dry Waterproof Hiking Shoe by Store Oboz Store

Product Summary: The Oboz Men’s Bridger Low B-Dry Waterproof Hiking Shoe is a great choice for your next hike. This shoe is waterproof and breathable, so you can keep your feet dry and comfortable all day long. The low-cut design provides excellent support and stability on uneven terrain, and the cushioned midsole ensures a comfortable ride. The durable outsole provides traction on all types of surfaces, making this shoe a great choice for all your outdoor adventures.

A 5-Star Review: Wear them everyday for construction work. Comfortable for the 9 hour days. Would highly recommend these shoes

A Critical Review: This is one time where I should have paid attention to the reviews. A lot of people have complained about how narrow and snug these are and well, add one more to the list. I do not have wide feet nor have I ever worn a wide size. Like someone else said, I really wanted to love these shoes because they look awesome! But it has been like trying to love someone whom you know is no good for you. I have tried and tried. They are so tight, they feel like they are strangling your feet. My big toe feels like the piggy whose roof is caving on top and of him, the sole is hard plastic – not flexible rubber. No grip and like Bon Jovi would say “Slippery when wet.” As someone else’s said, I thought I could stretch them out with time. Nope. After a week – still tight as hell. They look very cool but are not very comfortable. Hiking you say? I can’t even wear them half a day ! I wish the manufacturer would read all these comments and make an adjustment.

Oboz Hiking Shoes # 6) Oboz Bozeman Low Leather Hiking Shoe – Men’s

oboz hiking shoes: Oboz Bozeman Low Leather Hiking Shoe - Men's by Store Oboz Store

Product Summary: The Oboz Bozeman Low Leather Hiking Shoe Men‘s are perfect for your next outdoor adventure. Featuring a waterresistant leather and mesh upper, these shoes will keep your feet dry and comfortable all day long. With a supportive EVA midsole and a durable rubber outsole, these shoes will provide the stability and traction you need on any terrain.

A 5-Star Review: I was excited to get these shoes as I am a fan of Oboz and really wanted to like them. I love the clean monotone casual sneaker look of these shoes. They go well with casual outfits and was hoping they would fit the bill for all-day wear with ability to hit some easier hikes and general outdoors wear.

My feet are ~13.5, medium width. In most shoe brands 14M fits best. Knowing Oboz tends to run a bit small, I went with size 14 and they fit nicely. I would think if you have a true size 14 foot, these may be too small. Compared to their heavier hikers, like Bridgers, they are a bit wider in across the toe box, which is nice. The overall fit is a bit more relaxed than other Oboz I’ve tried but still was snug enough in the heel to prevent slipping. The Oboz insoles are great too. I need an insole with good arch support and ankle stabilization, and Oboz is one of very few brands I don’t have to replace the insole in. The heel is a little lower than other hiking shoes, but is still high enough to provide good support. The laces felt strong and solid and were easy to adjust. The tread pattern seemed like it would provide excellent grip, however, I did not get a chance to test that out.

The problem I had is the seam where the tongue attaches to the vamp was rather prominent and with every step pushed down onto my toes. Very annoying. I don’t know if I just got a bad pair or if this is a problem with the design, or if the design is just a bad match for my feet, but sadly, these had to go back. Still, kudos to Oboz for making an excellent looking casual hiker.

A Critical Review: Shoes are supposed to stay on your feet, or at least feel that way. After spending a few hours wearing and walking around in them, I noticed the heel cups allowed my heels to slip too far up when walking, even with a reasonably snug lacing, both shoes. This issue doesn’t inspire confidence for doing anything more than standing around. They’re otherwise very well made, with seemingly excellent finish. The footbed is heavenly, standing in them at my computer desk was more comfortable than in my house slippers. Bummer about the heel design. Disappointed that I have to pay return shipping. If a Bozeman rep wants to get back to me and offer a second try because this may have been a QC issue, feel free, but please include free return shipping if it doesn’t work out.

Oboz Hiking Shoes # 7) Oboz Sypes Low Leather B-Dry Hiking Shoe – Women’s

oboz hiking shoes: Oboz Sypes Low Leather B-Dry Hiking Shoe - Women's by Store Oboz Store

Product Summary: The Oboz Sypes Low Hiking Shoe is a versatile and stylish lowcut hiker that provides great traction and support on a variety of surfaces. The waterresistant leather upper helps keep your feet dry, while the BDry waterproof/breathable membrane provides added protection from the elements. The EVA midsole provides cushioning and support, and the Vibram outsole gives you great traction and stability on all kinds of terrain.

A 5-Star Review: I didn’t like the look of them….a lot more laces, heavier looking than the Oboz I have…. They make a good shoe but I just didn’t like it so returned them

A Critical Review: Not near as nice as the old ones I’ve purchased. The shoes are made from a synthetic ‘leather’ instead of the real stuff the old ones were. Also, I wouldn’t exactly call the color brown. More like brown/grey?? I’ll wear them but won’t buy again.

Oboz Hiking Shoes # 8) Oboz Sypes Low Leather B-Dry Hiking Shoe – Men’s

oboz hiking shoes: Oboz Sypes Low Leather B-Dry Hiking Shoe - Men's by Store Oboz Store

Product Summary: The Oboz Men’s Sypes Low Leather B-Dry Hiking Shoe is a low-cut hiker that’s built for speed on the trails. The leather and mesh upper provides breathability and durability, while the B-Dry waterproof membrane keeps your feet dry in wet conditions. The EVA foam midsole provides cushioning and support, and the rubber outsole delivers traction on a variety of surfaces.

A 5-Star Review: I now have two pair of Oboz shoes and love them both. I wanted a sturdy walking/hiking shoe and this fits all categories perfectly. Being I already know my size, this shoe fit as expected. This has become my go to shoe for many occasions.

A Critical Review: These shoes should last, but man, the inner mold is rigid & molded to someone else’s foot. I had to remove them & put in gel inserts to mellow them out some. I hope to break them in for future comfort of my back muscles don’t say otherwise.

Oboz Hiking Shoes # 9) Oboz Sypes Mid Leather B-Dry Hiking Shoe – Women’s

oboz hiking shoes: Oboz Sypes Mid Leather B-Dry Hiking Shoe - Women's by Store Oboz Store

Product Summary: The Oboz Sypes Mid Leather BDry Hiking Shoe Women‘s is a versatile and stylish hiking shoe that is perfect for any adventure. The shoe is made with a waterresistant leather upper and a breathable mesh lining to keep your feet dry and comfortable. The BDry waterproof membrane provides an additional layer of protection from the elements. The EVA midsole provides cushioning and support, while the rubber outsole offers traction and stability on any terrain.

A 5-Star Review: After reading so many reviews suggesting these boots ran a little small I decided to order both my usual size and a half-size up. I found the extra half size put the arch support a little out of line, the toe box was a little wide, and they were slipping at the heel, but my feet are slightly on the narrow side. My usual size fit perfectly. The boots were comfortable right out of the box other than being a little stiff at first. I’ve worn them just to wander around the house and go on some short walks. They are lightweight and both warm and cool at the same time (you know what I mean). I’m breaking them in for a planned trip to Yellowstone next summer and I’m sure they will do me just fine.

A Critical Review: I am happy with wide width, but this is not a new item, tissue in package is all crumpled, no stuffing in boots, and bottom soles have dirt. If this was a return, it should be listed as such.

Oboz Hiking Shoes # 10) Oboz Firebrand II B-Dry Hiking Shoe – Men’s Earth 11.5

oboz hiking shoes: Oboz Firebrand II B-Dry Hiking Shoe - Men's Earth 11.5 by Store Oboz Store

Product Summary: The Oboz Firebrand II B-Dry Hiking Shoe for Men is a tough and burly hiker that’s built for the long haul. It features a water-resistant and breathable upper to keep your feet dry and comfortable, and a Vibram outsole for reliable traction on any terrain. Plus, the Oboz Firebrand II B-Dry Hiking Shoe has a cushioned insole and a supportive midsole for all-day comfort on the trail.

A 5-Star Review: I’ve been wearing these shoes for everyday work, hiking, fishing trips, camping, mowing the lawn and they are worth every penny. After 2.5 years the shoestrings are giving up and need replacement, the tread is worn however there is no separations anywhere or holes. I will definitely purchase these again!

A Critical Review: I got these shoes to replace a pair of older Merrill’s. I love the look of the shoe and had comments by others on how great they looked. When it came to real use I was disappointed. Several times as we were on slightly wet surfaces in Ireland the bottoms did not grip as expected and actually felt rather slippery when wet. The shoe insert is very solid but it ends up feeling very hard. By the end of my trip my toes were so sore it hurt to walk. I’m still deciding but I may return the shoes. I wanted to love them.

Oboz Hiking Shoes # 11) Oboz Bozeman Low Hiking Shoe – Women’s

oboz hiking shoes: Oboz Bozeman Low Hiking Shoe - Women's by Store Oboz Store

Product Summary: The Oboz Bozeman Low Hiking Shoe is a great choice for your next hike. With a low-cut design, this shoe provides good ankle support and traction on the trail. The waterproof leather and breathable mesh upper keep your feet dry and comfortable, while the EVA midsole provides cushioning and support. The Bozeman is a great choice for your next hike.

A 5-Star Review: The footbed is a bit stiff and narrow, but relacing it allowed me to adjust it enough that I can use this shoe. It is a moderately priced good quality shoe.

A Critical Review: did not like them at all
returned them . did not feel too good on y feet
they were not terrible – but just not good and I can’t explain how or why ? sorry …would love to help others on this product

I Just did not like them

Oboz Hiking Shoes # 12) Oboz Bozeman Low Hiking Shoe – Men’s

oboz hiking shoes: Oboz Bozeman Low Hiking Shoe - Men's by Store Oboz Store

Product Summary: The Oboz Bozeman Low Hiking Shoe Men‘s is a great choice for those who want a reliable and comfortable lowcut hiking shoe. It features a waterproof and breathable membrane to keep your feet dry, while the cushioned midsole provides support and comfort on the trail. The outsole is made from durable rubber for traction and stability, and the toe box is roomy enough to accommodate a wider foot.

A 5-Star Review: But a fan of the brand and fit

A Critical Review: I’m not sure this counts as a review. You could call it a long term update (8 months later):

The Good 👍👍👍
– Design: Perfect daily commuter for urbanites
– Lightweight
– Low maintenance

The Bad 👎👎👎
– Even though I use a shoehorn, the lining on the pull tab and tongue areas is showing surprising signs of wear (see photos attached) 😳 Other reviewers shared similar complaints, that’s when I realized, it’s an issue.
– The tip of the toe box can use some reinforcement but since the shoe is advertised for casual use, I’ll let it slide.

My Verdict 🧑‍⚖️🧑‍⚖️🧑‍⚖️
I expect more from a brand like Oboz. I know they can do better.
So, would I recommend this pair for you to wear? Yes, but with reservations.

Oboz Hiking Shoes # 13) Oboz Men’s Sawtooth Low Bdry Hiking Shoe

Men's Sawtooth Low Bdry Hiking Shoe

Product Summary: The Oboz Men’s Sawtooth Low Bdry Hiking Shoe is a rugged and versatile hiking shoe that can handle any terrain. The waterproof and breathable upper keeps your feet dry and comfortable, while the low-cut design provides added ankle support. The Vibram outsole provides superior traction and stability, making the Oboz Men’s Sawtooth Low Bdry Hiking Shoe ideal for any adventure.

A 5-Star Review: I usually wear a 27.5 with Nike’s Air Max. The actual size of the foot is about 26 centimeters.
Oboz was my first purchase, I made it 27.5 like Nike, but it was perfect! It’s not too big or too small, so you can wear thick or thin socks without any discomfort.
The inner sole is comfortable to wear, so it has a very firm fit and walking cushioning, and I like to feel the weight of my shoes, so I feel a strong weight, so it’s good It’s a feeling.
I will also get the second pair of oboz!

Oboz Hiking Shoes # 14) Oboz Bozeman Low Leather Hiking Shoe – Women’s

Bozeman Low Leather Hiking Shoe - Women's

It is made with a waterproof and breathable leather upper that will keep your feet dry and comfortable all day long, and the Vibram outsole provides excellent traction and stability on any terrain.

A 5-Star Review: This shoe is the best I have purchased in many years. The quality is incredible and comfort is fantastic. I have put many miles on these shoes and have never had any pain or discomfort and that was right out of the box. Do your back, legs and feet a favor and try this brand I doubt you will regret it, worth every dollar. True to size for me, 10 medium width with plenty of room in the toe box.

A Critical Review: Most expensive hiking shoes we have ever purchased for my wife and really hoped for more . we walk only about 6-8 miles a week on level gravel but after only 7 months the fabric on heels tore and gave her blisters . Most people I know like these so perhaps it’s just her foot

Oboz Hiking Shoes # 15) Oboz Bozeman Low Suede Hiking Shoe – Men’s

Oboz Hiking Shoes # 16) Oboz Arete Low Hiking Shoe – Men’s

Arete Low Hiking Shoe - Men's

Product Summary: The Oboz Arete Low Hiking Shoe is a versatile, all-purpose shoe that is perfect for a day hike or light trail running. It is made with a breathable mesh upper and a tough, abrasion-resistant rand that will protect your feet from the elements. The Arete Low has a comfortable EVA footbed and a cushioned midsole that will keep your feet comfortable all day long. The outsole is made with Oboz’s proprietary Traction Control System that provides excellent grip and traction on any terrain.

A 5-Star Review: This is my 3rd Oboz purchase since 2015, and each time I’ve acquired a different model. And, each model, while uniquely different in fit and intended primary use, has been my favorite, most comfortable pair of shoes. Although I can’t speak for my newly purchased Aretes (bought 1 month ago) Oboz wear remarkably well; I’ve walked 2,000+ miles in my Mendenhalls in wet, dry, muddy, etc. conditions, and they still have a ways to go; after 6 years, my 1st pair of Oboz mid B-Dry Hiking boots are still in great shape. What did pleasantly surprise me about my Aretes, is that they needed no “break-in” period like the others, and they’ve been designed with a sense of style. Once again, I’m a happy customer.

A Critical Review: These shoes don’t simply LOOK like flimsy, cheaply produced garbage; they ARE flimsy, cheaply produced garbage. I bought them because Oboz discontinued the Traverse model, and this was the closest to it they currently make. How sad to see a company with a great product go down the tubes.

Oboz Hiking Shoes # 17) Oboz Men’s Missoula Low Hiking Shoe

Men's Missoula Low Hiking Shoe

Product Summary: The Oboz Men’s Missoula Low Hiking Shoe is a great choice for your next hike. With a comfortable fit and a tough outsole, this shoe will help you get through any terrain. The Missoula is also breathable and has a waterproof liner, so your feet will stay dry and comfortable all day long.

A 5-Star Review: Haven’t much yet, but they are as expected.

A Critical Review: I wear a mens size 10 in most shoe brands and these were too small/short so I returned them. I suggest ordering up at least 1/2 size and maybe more.

Oboz Hiking Shoes # 18) Oboz Sawtooth II Low Hiking Shoe – Men’s

Sawtooth II Low Hiking Shoe - Men's

Product Summary: Oboz Sawtooth II Low Hiking Shoe – Men’s is a shoe that is built for comfort, stability, and traction on the trail. It has a durable suede and mesh upper, a cushioned EVA midsole, and a tough rubber outsole with aggressive lugs for traction. The low-cut design provides ankle support and protection, and the shoe is finished with a breathable mesh lining.

A 5-Star Review: Had never heard of Oboz before reading about them in an article evaluating men’s hiking shoes. I had hiked in some of the more common brands, but generally reverted to wearing my running shoes in most situations because hiking shoes just seemed too bulky and with little or no cushion. These Oboz were a really pleasant surprise when I tried them on. Great arch support and just enough cushioning to feel good but not “squishy.”

Tried them on a 4-mile hike with some steep hills and slippery rocks. No problem. Felt so much more stable than my running shoes, and so much more comfortable than any of the hiking shoes I had worn before. No hints of blisters after my initial hike. No discomfort anywhere.

A bonus with these shoes is the Oboz insole that comes standard. It’s a lot like the ones I’ve bought for my running shoes. I was surprised to see such a good insole in moderately priced hiking shoes. And of course, if you prefer a different insole or custom orthotic, you can just pop it out and use your own.

UPDATE: Did a 5-mile hike through hilly, rugged terrain in the Daniel Boone National Forest earlier this week. Mud. Slick rocks. Steep inclines. Everything. I never slipped or felt unstable…These Oboz are definitely the BEST HIKING SHOES I’VE EVER OWNED.

A Critical Review: Just didn’t feel right for me. Too tight around the middle of my foot, even after I adjusted (let out) the shoestrings. And, I didn’t feel they gave me the cushion I’d have liked. OK, I didn’t use them climbing rocks, but walking around the house, which is similar like being on my feet all day at work, and the reason I wanted a boot, they didn’t perform for me.
As for comfort… I had a pair of Vasques and their soles were very stiff. I wasn’t thrilled about the feel but standing in them all day my feet didn’t get fatigued. The Oboz made my feet more fatigued after maybe 4-5 hours. So, I returned them as I couldn’t reason spending a lot for a pair that I wasn’t going to be 100% happy with.
I since bought a Keen Voyageur for low price and they seem to fit much better for me.

I understand that shoes perform differently for different people, so I’m only giving you my feedback. I’ve worn hiking, outdoorsy shoes/boots all my life, so I have some experience to compare pairs.

Oboz Hiking Shoes # 19) Oboz Sawtooth II Low Hiking Shoe – Women’s

Sawtooth II Low Hiking Shoe - Women's

Product Summary: The Oboz Sawtooth II Low Hiking Shoe is a versatile, all-purpose shoe that’s built for comfort and durability. It features a breathable mesh upper with a synthetic leather overlay for added support, and a cushioned EVA midsole for all-day comfort. The outsole is made of Oboz’s proprietary rubber compound for outstanding traction and durability on any surface.

A 5-Star Review: I’m NOT a hiker. I am a 50+ woman with flat arthritic feet. That said I do walk and love to take short “easy trails”. These shoes along with there boot counter parts keep me walking when regular tennis shoes let me down. I have the water proof version for working on our little 4 acre homestead and they do keep your feet dry! Once i found myself outside in a Florida deluge of rain and looked down to see i was standing in about 3″ of water. Didn’t even know because my feet were dry! (the rest of me, however was soaked : )) They are a stiffer shoe, which if that is what you are looking for then you will love this shoe. The Inserts are great for me keeping my feet aligned and relieving not only my foot pain, but my knee pain as well! If you like to feel the ground beneath you as you hike and are looking for a flexible barefoot feel, then this may not be the shoe for you. It does take a few weeks to break in so I wouldn’t buy the day before a long hike. The fit is perfect for me and as described with a narrow heel to keep from slipping and a wider toe box to avoid blisters. I know that sounds like an advertisement, but honestly thats the way they fit. I wear a thicker wicking sock with them in the Florida heat, to keep my feet dry. If you like thin socks, then you may want to go down a 1/2 size.

A Critical Review: I love OBOZ hikers – never have worn a better shoe. I buy mine from OBOZ or outdoor stores. I bought this pair on AMAZON and I swear, it’s just not the same. The shoe is not the same weight was the first thing I noticed. Also, the top of the shoe comes higher than the pair I bought direct from OBOZ outdoor stores. The area around the tongue on these was just “too puffy” and did not lie flat like my “real” OBOZ shoes. I have found this with different items at Amazon, they are not the “quality” of buying direct on certain items. Maybe it’s just me, but I’m not buying any more from Amazon. I think OBOZ shoes are top of the line quality, fit, and durability for hikers – I just want the genuine article.

Oboz Hiking Shoes # 20) Oboz Sawtooth II Low B-Dry Hiking Shoe – Women’s

Sawtooth II Low B-Dry Hiking Shoe - Women's

Product Summary: The Oboz Sawtooth II Low B-Dry Hiking Shoe is a durable, comfortable and versatile option for day hikes or light backpacking trips. The tough yet breathable upper helps keep your feet cool and dry, while the supportive yet cushioned midsole provides all-day comfort. The grippy outsole gives you confidence on any terrain, whether you’re tackling a rocky trail or a muddy forest path.

A 5-Star Review: These are perfect! Being my first pair of real hiking shoes I was taking a risk buying online, the reviews seemed really positive. I have big feet, size 11! And these fit perfectly! I also have feet that are a bit on the widish-side (thank you, pregnancies!), and these shoes are great! I hiked in them right out of the box with zero issues! They are very sturdy, no ankle rolling, and no blisters! I love how well they grip, I did some mild bouldering and felt like Spider-Man! Also, the colors are awesome:) These are a low boot, so if you’re hiking through marsh or wetlands, creek beds etc. you may want to do with a taller boot? But I’ll be wearing these for most, if not all, of my outdoor adventuring. PS if they make these in a taller boot, I will buy those in addition to these!

A Critical Review: The photo indicates this is the original sawtooth low shoe with a tongue loop, but the shoe itself is a design II. Very confusing, and I hoped that I would be lucky enough to get the original OBOZ. Turned out I’m not lucky, there’s no tongue loop, the toebox is short and tight in my regular size and the shoe is very uncomfortable so I returned them. Very disappointed and disappointed that OBOZ changed this wonderful design. The old design is wonderful, I have trouble with my feet and I must’ve purchased 8 to 10 pair of these shoes the last few years. They were amazing particularly for hiking!

Oboz Hiking Shoes # 21) Oboz Sawtooth II Low B-Dry Hiking Shoe – Men’s

Sawtooth II Low B-Dry Hiking Shoe - Men's

Product Summary: The Oboz Sawtooth II Low B-Dry Hiking Shoe is a great choice for your next hike. With a waterproof and breathable B-Dry membrane, your feet will stay dry and comfortable all day long. The low-cut design provides good ankle support and the Vibram outsole ensures traction and durability on any terrain.

A 5-Star Review: My main concern when I bought these shoes was finding a pair that fits well. My feet are hard to fit. I have a bunion on my left great toe but not on my right. So I need a wider shoe on the left. And I wanted a waterproof shoe. I tried a pair of Merrills, but they were too narrow on my left foot. Next I tried a pair of Altra Lone Peaks. I wear size 10.5 in dress shoes and I tried an 11 in the Altras. The shoes were wide enough but my toes hit the front of the shoe—too short. So I tried an 11.5, but they were huge. Then I tried these Oboz Sawtooth II B-Dri in size 11. Perfect. Comfortably wide for my left foot, the one with the bunion. But also perfect width for the right foot. I was also surprised at how comfortable the shoes are to walk in right out of the box. Some of the reviews talk about needing a break-in period. I did not find that. These are as comfortable as running shoes or Allbirds.

So far, I’ve only used these on paved surfaces and some icy roads. Traction seems good. I can’t comment yet on rough surfaces. But you can tell these are built like hiking boots. I’m sure they will be excellent on rocks and rough terrain.

I am very pleased.

A Critical Review: Man, I hope I can come back in a couple of months and say that I was wrong. Long time Oboz user, boots and trail runners. I am a day hiker, nothing outrageous. I used the Sawtooth brand for a few years and have loved these runners.
Unfortunately the Sawtooth II so far has been a huge problem. I am having an issue with my big toe being crushed by the toe box. I have had these problems, as has my wife, with a lot of Columbia boots but never Oboz.
After 5 miles of mild trekking and my toe was screaming the first time. felt I broke them in walking the dogs but figured I would give them a chance. Unfortunately subsequent hikes have provided the same result, an extremely irate big toe.
I will work them for a while longer and give them a fair shake. IF the situation improves I will report accordingly but for now, hard pass.

A 5-Star Review: The first day I bought these, I wore them on a two hour hike. Not always a wise move, but It worked out great. Felt like I’d been wearing them for ever. I hike in the woods a lot. The fact that they are waterproof is great when the trails get mucky. I have two pairs. I keep one in the car in case I’m out and find a good spot for a walk. I also like the style. Cut and understated. Not cartoonish like a lot of shoes these days, in my opinion.

A Critical Review: Oboz is a great shoe. My issue was that I ordered a different color and it took months to arrive

Oboz Hiking Shoes # 24) Oboz Tamarack BDry Hiking Shoe – Men’s

Tamarack BDry Hiking Shoe - Men's

Product Summary: The Oboz Men’s Tamarack BDry Hiking Shoe is a great choice for your next hike. With a waterproof and breathable BDry membrane, you’ll be sure to stay dry and comfortable on the trail. The supportive EVA midsole provides cushioning and comfort, while the nylon shank adds stability. The Vibram outsole gives you the traction you need to take on any terrain.

A 5-Star Review: Great shoe. I wore out a size 12, but it was always on the small size, so I bought new ones, but they only make a size 13. Surprise! The 13 is a little on the big side. Only negative about the shoe is the soles can slip under the right circumstances. Wet rocks are the one thing these shoes don’t handle well, but everything else is great

One thing I failed to mention – DO NOT wear these if conditions are icy. They are the equivalent of ice skates.

A Critical Review: Shoe seemed well constructed. However, the toe box seemed large and I often get shoes in wide with. My ankle slipped up when I walked. Overall the shoe seemed too large so I returned it to try the Sawtooth.

The shoe features a waterproof and breathable membrane to keep your feet dry, and a cushioned EVA midsole for added comfort. The tough rubber outsole provides traction and durability on any terrain, while the low-cut design allows for easy mobility.

A 5-Star Review: These shoes should get a five star review for comfort however …. there is a mark on the seam where your toes bend. Today is the first day I have worn them. So far, I’m 8 hours in them and super comfy. I am sad about the marks though. They just appeared. I did not walk in any wet areas nor did I spill anything.
THIS IS AN UPDATE — I’ve had these for over 2 weeks now and I simply do not understand the stain on the left foot. It has grown! I have not been near anything other than sprinklers and it’s only on one shoe. Comfort is great but I just now purchased my 2nd pair of Oboz Mesa. Now that is a 5 star hiking shoe. 🙂

A Critical Review: This is the first pair of Oboz shoes that I have purchased from Amazon. I have purchased several pairs of the same size and width from a local shoe store. I am not pleased with the fit of the ones I bought off Amazon.
The heel cup feels larger than in my other shoes. The heel cup should fit snugly and not allow the heel to slide. I’ve tried tightening up on the laces, wearing thicker socks but the heel cup still doesn’t feel right. My foot feels like it is sliding forward (sort of like when you’re wearing clogs). The shoes fit everywhere else. I hate to go through the hassle of boxing and returning the shoes so I’m going to see if a heel insert helps. If not, back to Amazon they go.

Oboz Hiking Shoes # 26) Oboz Men’s Cirque Low Hiking Shoe

Men's Cirque Low Hiking Shoe

Product Summary: Looking for a shoe that can keep up with your outdoor adventures? Check out the Oboz Men’s Cirque Low Hiking Shoe. This shoe is designed for comfort and stability, with a supportive fit and a durable outsole. The Cirque is perfect for hikes, walks, and any other outdoor activities you enjoy.

A 5-Star Review: Nice looking ( my opinion) low hiker. Fits about as expected, I normally wear 9.5 in Hoka Rincons and Altras for running and 9.5 in the Cirque fit fine….comfortable enough, a little pressure every once in a while below the outer ankle bone on certain movements (only reason for 4 stars) but a thick hiking sock generally takes care of it and this may break in over time anyway. I’ve not done any serious hiking, just tame trails in the woods, but these will do just fine for kicking around outside. Seems to be good quality and I would consider other Oboz shoes if I’m shopping again for a more stout hiking shoe.

A Critical Review: I loved everything about these boots, except that fact that they are not even remotely waterproof. They are marketed as waterproof. Backpacking this fall in Colorado high country. Some rain over night that turned to snow before it got light. Maybe 1/2 inch, mostly on the ground vegetation. Cold enough that it would just brush off. 20 minutes into the morning hike, I thought my feet were getting cold simply due to the snow around my boot. BTW, I was wearing a brand new pair of Kuiu Yukon gaiters, so most of my boot was protected and no moisture could get in around my ankles. At 30 minutes, I started to get concerned with moisture. At 45 minutes, I took off my boots and socks and my merino socks were soaked to capacity. I literally squeezed out a huge amount of water. Either their boot building process or their proprietary membrane does NOT work.

Oboz Hiking Shoes # 27) Oboz Women’s Cirque Low B-Dry Waterproof Hiking Shoe

Women's Cirque Low B-Dry Waterproof Hiking Shoe

Product Summary: Oboz Cirque Low B-Dry Waterproof Hiking Shoe – Women’s: The Oboz Cirque Low is a lightweight hiker that provides all the support and protection you need on the trail. The waterproof B-Dry membrane keeps your feet dry and comfortable, while the low-cut design and breathable mesh upper keep you cool and comfortable on the trail. The EVA midsole provides cushioning and support, and the Vibram outsole gives you traction and stability on any trail.

A 5-Star Review: I have HORRID feet. Flexible ankles gave me bunions and heel spurs by age 17. I have to wear my Birks or my custom podiatrist made orthotics OR a really good pair of shoes with fabulous arch support. Every pair of OBOZ fit out of the box, no breaking in, and my hip pain is immediately gone. I bought these for running shoes and they. are. AMAZING.

A Critical Review: I have been wearing OBoz for close to 8 years now. They discontinued my fav shoe so I switched to the sawtooth, I buy new ones every 6-8 months as I wear them out. Last year I bought wides for my very narrow foot trying to get a good fit. After REI couldn’t offer me any other choices I went to the company and got recommendations which I purchased here on amazon. I ended up going back to sawtooth, one I ordered in my regular size . I have no explanation for the weird sizing issue. I used to be able to buy these shoes put them on and walk for miles in them. I’m not looking forward to replacing my current pair of sawtooths. I’m a bit gun shy.
