All the common hill stations stay crowded over any weekend during summers. Here we selected some less crowded and serene places to travel this summer if you are New Delhi.

Pithoragarh

A relaxing and less known hill station to chill out from the city chaos. The view of Soar Valley and peaks of western Himalayas are just spectacular and wonderful

Pithoragarh is also famous for its hills like Nanda Devi East, Nanda Devi West, Trishul, Rajrambha, Hardeol, Bambadhura, Nandakhat, and the Panchchuli group. Not just hills, it also boasts of some impressive glaciers like Ralam, Milam, Namik, Meola and Balati glaciers.

Pithoragarh locals are skilled with inherited artwork, you will find a diverse range of souvenirs made of wooden, woollen and acne handicrafts.

Devprayag

Narkanda

A small town in Shimla, bounded by the Shivalik ranges the place is nestled around 65 km away from Shimla. It is easily reachable from Shimla and Rampur as it comes in between these two regions. The place is also connected to Thanedhar with the help of a bypass.

The top attraction here is the Hatu Peak, offers spectacular view of the entire Himalayan ranges, snow clad mountains and in depths are the dense forests, green fields and apple orchards. Hiking is recommended to reach the peak.

Tanakpur

Tanakpur is a calm and small town located on riverside of Sarda River. It is located at the foothills and is the last plain area on the road to Kumaon zone of Uttarakhand. It acts as a junction for the Kumaon District’s mountainous part.

This is the destination to enjoy the outdoors, offers rafting, camping and bonfire. This town does not have the majestic Himalayan mountains but travel and experience the charms of its great Himalayan rivers.
