                        “Best time to visit this place is Nov-feb. Open – 9.30am to 6.30pm Entry fee-50/- Dress- better avoid jeans and tights. wear something comfortable cotton shorts and loose T’s & Carry spare. Worst time to visit rainy season(july-oct, water seepage will flood inside the cave. In summer u can’t withstand the hot climate and suffocate. Winter season is best. As weather will be cool and favorable inside the cave. This cave is actually a water table (once upon a time).Now converted in to a cave.This s second longest cave in Indian subcontinent which is ~4km long. (first being Krem liat prah and group of caves in Jaintia Hills in Meghalaya measuring 22,202.65m) Fresh water siphon(man made) and gallery (natural) are there. At a place(PATHALAGANGE) inside the cave which is almost 150mts underground, u can touch underground water. I happen to find small fishes out there happily swimming!!!!!!!! Which is a question mark, coz who placed them there!!! Inside, lighting arrangements and ventilation are maintained very well. It will take 1 to 1 and half hour ride inside. Local guide has no much knowledge about it’s history (know no other language than telugu) but at some point he good at directing you inside the cave and has good cave sense… Better take him along. Guide is Cost effective(100-200/-)😜 According to history there are 16 entry to the cave, but only one s open to tourist. Rest of them no idea where they were. Only 3.5km has been made tourist friendly rest yet to discover. According to localities there, till now they haven’t found a dead end. Inside the cave lime stone have taken different shapes Viz, lion(simha dwara), crocodile, anaconda, shivaling Inside the gate u don’t get food, only soft drink available. Before going inside make sure u are not hungry/carrying your own eatable. Jus outside the gate there are many daba but not that good. ”

                            Rollapadu Bird Sanctuary came into existence in 1988 with an aim to protect the Lesser Floricans and the Great Indian Bustard which emerged as an endangered species. The bird sanctuary is located in the Nandikotkuru village of Kurnool District. The sanctuary experience dry climate condition with very little rainfall.The winters are pleasant with a temperature at an average 18-degree centigrade. Park is open on all days between 0700hrs to 1800 hrs. The best time to visit the sanctuary is from October to February. The climate is very pleasant with an onset of mild winter below 25 degree Celsius. You can stay at inspection bungalow and forest guest house at Nandikotkur. The nearest airport is the Hyderabad airport, which is located at a distance of 238 km from the bird sanctuary which will help you to reach the sanctuary. Kurnool is the nearest railway head located at a distance of 60 km from Bird Park available at frequent intervals from Kurnool. Good transport facilities make this park more famous.

                            Yaganti temple is situated at a distance of 100 kilometres from the place and has excellent road connectivity. It is this temple only where famous saint Veerabrahmendra Swami stayed for some time while composing his Kalagnanam. Here along with Shiva, Uma you will find Lord Nandi as well. There is pond as well inside the temple called Pushkarini and is considered to be very sacred to take a holy dip in this pond. Devotees believe that Nandi idol continuously increases its size. Banganapalle is a town that is just 13 kilometres away from this temple and it is well connected by bus services with all major cities of Andhra Pradesh. Morning timings of temple are 7 am to 11 am and evening timing is 5 p.m to 8 p.m. Free and quality of food will be provided to the pilgrims at Ananda Hall, timings are 11 am to 2:30p.m and 8 p.m to 9:30 p.m.

                            The heart of Kurnool is the Kurnool Fort and is one of the landmarks of the town. It was built by Achyuta Devarayalu, belonging to Vijayanagar Empire. Konda Reddy Buruju is a part of Kurnool Fort and is the only part left out of the magnificent fort. The projection is in the shape of a huge pillar and has two storeys. The storey is an underground passage about 25 Km long which leads you to Alampur, a town in Mahbubnagar District. When you reach the highest point of the monument, you get the panoramic view of the city. One of the ruined portions of the Kurnool Fort is Erra Buruju built with red sand stone. This Buruju was built by the Vijayanagar rulers. Walls of the Erra Buruju have some of the splendour symbols that have historical importance. Slight images of Sri Rama, Lakshmana and Goddess Dita can be seen. Image of elephant and a lion locked in a fight can also be visualized.

                            Mahanandishwara or the Mahanandi Temple is the oldest temples in India. It is estimated to be over 1500 years old. It is located in the Mahanadi Village which is 19 km from Nandyal town in the Kurnool District of Andhra Pradesh. It is dedicated to Lord Shiva and is famous for its architecture. Temple is located at East of the famous Nallamalla Hills. The temple was initially a structure believed to have built by the Chalukyas. The main attraction of the temple is the Pushkarini through which crystal clear water flows throughout the year from beneath the Shiva Lingam. Legend says that the temple had amazing power to cure devotees who visit there with various ailments. The main festival celebrated here is Shivratri.There is nine shrines of Nandi in an area encircling 15 km of the Mahanandi Temple. They are called the Naval Nandis. Entry to the temple is free. It is just 10 km from Nandyal and around 85 km from Kurnool.

This place is known as Singavelkundram and is dedicated to Lord Narasimha, the man-lion form of Lord Vishnu, which he took on in order to kill the demon Hiranyakashyapa. Only at Ahobilam are all the nine forms of Lord Narasimha i.e. Nava Narasimha worshipped.
