The Nicholas Roerich Art Gallery and Museum is one of the places of attractions in and around Naggar as well as Manali. The place that serves as the museum now was once home to famous Russian artist Nicholas Roerich. Prof. Nicholas Roerich was so much overtaken by the beauty of Naggar and Manali that he settled in India in Naggar in 1917. The Himachal Pradesh Government and along with Russian Government have formed a trust to run this art gallery.
The Nicholas Art Gallery of Naggar have some amazing paintings of Kullu, Spiti, and Lahaul made by the Nicholas Roerich. The museum also has some great works from all over the world. Most of his paintings describe the beauty of the place with ice-covered valleys and peaks. The museum is themed on Russian Art and also has various musical instruments, stone carvings made by the professor himself. The museum is open on all days except Monday from 9 AM to 5 PM.
